Lytham Hall Gatehouse

Gatehouse

Lytham Hall Gatehouse

The gatehouse was originally built in the 1840s sited across Clifton Parade on the site where the Estate Offices were built. See 1848 map below. That road was closed when the Squire built his railway to Blackpool and the gatehouse was moved in 1862/3 to the start of the new road to the Hall.

The Lytham gatehouses consist of two quirky units linked together by the tall archway carrying the Clifton family crest. On one side is the lounge and kitchen area, whilst on the other side is the bedroom and bathroom area.
